Wanted to upgrade an old PC. My video card failed so that gave me the reason to do it. Had e6300 so I ordered the Core 2 Extreme QX6700 running at 2.66GHz stock. Since it was a 775 board the replacement was fairly easy(some trouble with Intel board pins). Replaced video card and added AX network card. Wow what a difference. This old PC is just fine for what I do online now. Shipping was great and chip was fine. Motherboard accepted it from first boot. 4 cores running cool. basic upgread for old PC
It's good for old PC that will maximize its use, by meaning of make most of your old PC. But personoly this CPU is pretty old and very soon will not handel things good.
