Great little board, inexpensive but well-made. Accepts ECC memory, which is a must for me (something sadly being left out by other big-brand manufacturers like Gigabyte). Runs rock-solid as a firewall/VM server with Linux, I'm having some issues with vmware-server 1.x that I'm still debugging, but so far it looks like VMWare's fault. Accepts up to 16GB DDR2 RAM (still less expensive than DDR3 and not sensibly slower), runs with almost any AMD AM2 or AM3 processor (yes, even the newest Phenon II X6 hexacore monsters, after a BIOS upgrade), has 6 SATA ports (one of them eSATA), gigabit ethernet and 2 PCI2.0 slots plus 1 PCIeX1 and 1 PCIeX16; also has serial and parallel ports on-board (need to connect them to non-supplied cables, though), also has 1 PATA port. accelerated Radeon video card plus sound card all on board. Liked that motherboard so much that I'm getting it on all my new machines, bought 3 so far but I'm going to buy another 2 or 3.Read full review
Asus motherboards are good reliable boards. I have not tried the overclocking feature. I run the board in it's natural state and it runs as advertised. I purchased this board as a replacement so I didn't have a problem with the older processor requirements.
I purchased this to replace a MB that was failing on a licensing Win 7 computer that I needed to keep running. Installation of this board was a snap.
Verified purchase: Yes | Condition: Refurbished
