I really didn’t care for this book at all, and for me, this definitely was not one of Ray’s better works. For all of the ‘rave’ reviews that I’ve read, this book sure didn’t live up to it. At many, many times, it seemed that he was trying to see how many adjectives he could stuff into one sentence, which just took away from the story and made it a monotonous, tediously dull, repetitively droning, unexciting, lackluster, boring, dreary, mind-numbing read. Aaaggh!! Help!! I think I’ve been infected!! It’s time to read something else to cleanse myself from this… I would recommend borrowing the book from someone or your local library to judge for yourself first, before you actually purchase a copy. IF YOU FOUND THIS REVIEW HELPFUL PLEASE VOTE. THANK YOU !!
If you are a fan of Ray Bradbury this book will not disappoint. It is pure Bradbury magic. The creation of a novel around a few short stories written years before is seamless. With simple, lyrical language he brings alive the story of the undead and most lively Elliot family.
