Tire was new.but almost 5 years old....had a hard time trying to get it installed because tire centers are not allowed to install old tires.......3 different places refused.putting the tire on. Excellent traction. Slight road noise
I switched to these from nt05r drag radials and these have very similar traction on surface streets. I put these on a 650 hp car and these tires grip very well maybe even slightly better than drag radials when the tires are cold (normal street driving). I noticed quite a bit of road noise from these 65mph +
