So if your looking for information about city of Rogue, or City of Heroes: Going Rogue, what ever you want to call it. First of all i just want to say that i love this game, when City of Heroes came out, me and my aunt played it together, she was Bomb Voyage, and i was Captain Catastrophy. Haha, it was all in good fun. Now, to the Information! There are 10 Options for Super heroes/villians. Blaster Brute Controller Currupter Defender Dominater Mastermind Scrapper Stalkers Tanker You then choose your origin which are: Science Magic Mutation Technology Natural You then Chose your Primary Power. Depending on which person you chose, and your origin, It can go anywhere from a double sword combo, to dark armor. Then you Choose your Secondary Power, which again depending on your info can range from a crossbow to a double hand pistol. You then get to make your character! With thousands of Options, it should be fun! (you also make your costume soon after!) You then enter the world. Now to my knowledge this is how it works. If you choose hero, you a thrust into the City of Heroes setting, if you choose villian, you are thrust into City of Villians. And finally if you choose Partorean, you are thrust into City of Rogue. All are a little bit renewed, but city of Pratoria is Incredible. Overall, this game is incredible. If you have never played, do the FREE TRIAL FOR 14 DAYS! This game is still fun after playing for over 3 years straight. The expansion gives quite a few new things to do, turn your hero into a villain, or villain into a hero. You get rewarded for staying in your current allignment. Great customization for characters. The only thing I don't like is the Devs are always rewarding the heroes, and punishing the villains by lowering our merits, and not touching the hero side. We have 1 TF that is basically the same as hero one but ours is 100 times harder, and for some reason they lowered our merits to 20 and left the hero's at 30. That's my only complaint on the game though.
This installment of the "City of" franchise has done nothing but surpass my expectations. I was a fan of City of Heroes when it first came out and played for a couple years. Though upon finally buckling down and choosing one of my many Heroes to get to level 50 (level cap in the franchise) I found the game lacking "end game" content. It was still fun to play the lower level characters, but I eventually lost interest and let my subscription fade. I then started up again when City of Villains was released. There were many improvements made in that installment as well, but I didn't have time to commit to playing at the time. So "Going Rogue" was announced and I got pretty excited to see that they were keeping up the franchise and decided to check it out. It really blew me away. From the graphical updates to the new customization options to the new story development and in game morality choices to the end game content, this installment of CoX has gone above and beyond my expectations. It is, in my opinion, one of the most polished and compelling MMO's out to date. I highly recommend at least checking it out for a that first month of free play. Heads up, anyone curious to buy this: City of Heroes was SHUT DOWN SERVER-SIDE IN 2015, if you buy it you can't play it since NC Soft terminated its functionality. When it was running, it was an amazing game, but if you buy it now you'll never get to enjoy it.
