  • A nice bundle with some great horror titles

Game arrived in great condition. I've only played Penumbra before, but when I found this one the ebay store, I figured why not buy the bundle? I've heard good things about Scratches from the Youtuber Civvie11, and the last game is one I'm not familiar with but I'm always down to try out a new adventure game. While I already have a drm free version of Penumbra, I love the game so much I wanted to get this collectible physical copy too, which not only looks great, but can potentially serve as a backup if good old games and my downloaded installer both somehow went missing. Penumbra is a great survival horror game where you play as a man named Philip trying to solve the mystery of a letter he received from his father. The journey takes him to Greenland where he gets lost in a blizzard and ends up in an old mine underground. The atmosphere is great and the story is excellent, stealth when encountering monsters is encouraged as combat in the game is admittedly clunky and awkward.

  • Creepy and Challenging

Even though these are 'older' games, they are a lot of fun. If you follow the suggested settings for each, they are definitely worth the play as the atmosphere is where half the 'creepiness' comes from, especially in Scratches and Penumbra. Rhem 2 is all puzzle, not a lot of mystery/suspense, but fun if you like puzzles and challenges that require thought, persistence and observation. Penumbra is creepy as hell. The first person perspective, and the amount of environmental interaction is great. You really have to pay attention to your surroundings. This game requires skill, patience, persistence, and the ability to NOT panic lol. It was a lot of fun and I cant wait to play the second one. Scratches is my favorite of the three. The story is intriguing, and even though there are no threats to your characters life (as there are in Penumbra), this game is genuinely creepy, and made me nearly fall out of my chair. Over all, this is a great buy, especially if you like creepy games. These are not like Doom or Silent Hill, they are definitely more story and puzzle, but they are worth a play. Follow the recommended settings, turn down the lights and turn up the volume...lots of fun :D
