No more unwanted shoes and pant showers after turning off the spigot. YAY.
It's not cheap but it's a great way to fix the old leaking faucet at my girlfriend's house. You can replace the old fitting with a new one, but eventually it will fail again. This is a better alternative. Getting the old one off was a challenge though. Make sure the old lock nut is undone, if there is one, and try some heat to loosen the old fitting if a sealant was used.
