"Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion" is the story of a Britannian youth raised in Area 11 (formerly Japan). This young student, Lelouch Lamperouge (also Lelouch vi Britannia), is given a power called Geass by a mysterious girl named C.C. This power allows Lelouch to control the actions of others. With this power, he sets out to overthrow the rule of King Charles, the ruler of the Holy Britannian Empire. In Part III, the final 8 episodes before the R2s are revealed over two discs (4 episodes on each disc), with each disc in a separate case (with the Gawain Knightmare Frame and Euphemia li Britannia featured on the cover art respectively). So go ahead and get this set. The DVD extra features aren't going to blow you away, but you need these last 8 episodes to complete the series.
Code Geass has already proven itself to the viewer by the time they get to these 8 episodes. The first 4 included here do well to further the plot but it's with episode 22 that things heat up with a major plot twist that'll leave fans simultaneously excited, sad, and amazed. What's really well done here is the shaping and later warping of the character of Zero and Suzaku. The rest of the series races by until the last episode where it ends...with a major cliffhanger. Frustrating, as one more episode could've wrapped most things up but thankfully it's not the end. The second season will eventually come to DVD, and I will definately be picking it up.
This product is not available in stores at its initial release date. Apparently bandai cant/wont send copies to all best buys in america, and i do not know any other store that carries this anime dvd nationwide. Now, to the anime itself. This is such a smart and wonderful end to season one of code geass. if you are a dvd or anime collector, or maybe you just want to be able to view this in all its HD quality anytime you want, then this is for you. The episodes contained on this volume are simply amazingly directed and they have been the best i've seen so far.
Great season! Loved it! Definately would recommend it to anyone. Good length of time and hoping for next season to come out really fast. If its your first time watching i would recommend watching from the beginning (1st season) but overall its a great series.
This is a wonderful anime for anyone who loves a great story filled with action! The story pulls you in as the action excites you. I would reccomend for anyone of any age. For instance, My son (who is 8) and I (who is 30) both enjoy watching it together.
