Seems to be a good value for the money. Does everything I need it to do. I pretty much know the exact distance to some of my neighbors houses by now. I especially like the angle compensation feature as math and degrees of angle and hold over, hold under are not my strong suits. Especially when having to calculate in a split second. Easy to use, select the mode, range the target and fire away.
Very accurate, clear & crisp optics. On first hunt was able to range a Whitetail at 593 yards, Target aquisition is better in low light or cloudy day -the brighter the sun the more difficult to aquire the target. Best bang for the buck in rangefinders, you can't do better at twice the price. If you are looking for accuracy and ease of use you won't go wrong with the RifleHunter 550. Top quality, as expected from Nikon.
This is a very accurate rangefinder. It is easy to use. It does not have a lot of bells and whistles and that is fine with me. It accomplishes what it was meant to do. I am very pleased with my purchase.
This is an excellent tool for the hunter, sniper and golf enthusiast. I feel the incline decline technology makes it far superior to most rangefinders on the market. This technology eliminates the need to calculate adjustments for shots fired up or down hill. I know the manufacturers assert that the device is good out to 550 yards, but I have accurately lased targets out to 680 yards. It is simple and easy to use. I don't have any negative comments to make about the device.
It's from Nikon, with a lifetime warranty, so it is a great product. The directions on how to load the battery, and how to use it are a little complicated, and not very clearly written for the average user. I had to go online to a community website to get some product information regarding how to use the product. Other than that, it is dead on!! Angle adjust is automatic. Found out that the targets at our local "rifle range" are off by as much as 10 yards...that's not good. Buy it. It's from Nikon. Enough said!!
