    When I bought my 9 tray Excalibur (used) it came with a book. It was really informative. Somehow it disappeared and I was still a newbie. Since this one was older the manual for it was not available. Ergo I purchased this one as it had a lot of good ratings. It is very well arranged and I learned a few more things that were not in the older book. So, if you are still in the dark regarding dehydrating I would recommend this book.
