A nuts and bolts guide to small scale permaculture, gardening solutions, maybe a survivalist guide to the 21st century in the sense it asks you to take a sober view of your balance sheet, holistically, in terms of your life support systems, understanding what they are and how to best maximize your relationship with them. In that sense, it unwittingly shares a common theme with some of the new theories of quantum physics, in what limited knowledge I have of that, in that relationships between phenomena play an important role in the system.
But this was my first look at the technical aspects of permaculture and I found considerable interest in the inner workings of soil building, temperature and wind considerations, wildlife, insects, microorganisms, mineral mining, water conservation, the flow of elements through the living system and the apparent relationships with temperature, and moisture mediation, the interfaces between dynamic and static elemental states, guilds, so called pest and weed mediation, essential and desired production, plant species, culture, energy, inputs and outputs, yields, links, bibliography, organizations and on my part a thorough desire to delve further into the discipline.
