    Great preamp

    Well built and great sound. Excellent range of control with the EQ, compression, and enhance controls. The bass boost adds a lot of bottom when needed for a deep mellow sound. Well built and very good value for the price.

    No good at all

    It is noisy, has no punch and not easy to use. I already have a Fodera pre-amp, which is much better than this item and very easy to use. Of course, the Fodera it is more expensive, but worth the price. I would no recommend this cheapo pre-amp. I returned it as soon as I tried.

    Great Bass Guitar preamp/direct pedal!

    This bass direct box preamp is awesome. Use it with my 5-string bass and this gives a great sound going into the mixer. Controls to get plenty of sound options. Ground lift for the XLR direct out. I would recommend and buy again if mine were stolen!

    Superb Bass DI

    Using this for a Squier Modified Vintage Jazz Bass V. This thing is super quiet and is perfect for my budget closet recording studio, which is what I bought if for. I feed it to a focusrite scarlett solo connected to my pc. There's only so much my Squier bass can do on its own, which is why the extra tone shaping offered by this gearbox is invaluable.
