An absolute MUST for espresso machine owners
This is the recommended lube for e61 brew groups of traditional manual espresso machines. It works beautifully. My machine squeaked a lot before using it. It works as new now. I am sorry I haven't used it much earlier, as some damage has already occurred, but will definitely use it regularly from now on. This is a must, and machine manufacturers should have told us to use it! (they don't; at least Bezzera doesn't). Too thick for using in automatic espresso machine
There is nothing wrong with this product (and it is probably perfect for non-moving o-rings). My 3-star rating is for using Dow Corning Molykote 111 in DeLonghi automatic espresso machine brewing infuser. Very good silicone grease
I have been using this grease for over 30 years. It is a good silicone grease for gaskets, seals, o-ring,electrical connections, etc. This is a thick grease and stays put. A "Must keep on hand" like a magic marker and duct tape!
I've used Dow 111 (now called molykote) since 1974 as a mold release, dielectric for battery terminals, and rubber seal preservative..... It's a fantastic product. I have been using this product as an o ring lubricant on most of the machine repairs I have done for about 20 years.
