this swiss army knife is the perfect easy to carry pocket tool. if you want an item to handle most of life's immediate tool needs, this is it. It is not perfect for many things but is a quality/tough item that will do for most things and I almost always have it handy. I have used it to fix broken fingernails, tighten a screw on my glasses, make a temporary repair to my barber's chair, wrap a Christmas gift, open a bottle and a can, cut down a tree that hung up (stuck) a vehicle in a remote area and many other things. Who really needs this??
I'm a fan of Swiss Army Knives---but what I learned from buying this is to really think about your needs, and buy a knife that satisfies those needs only. This knife is WAY too big, and has stuff I'll never need. Being that size also makes it hard to find the items you need, and further, it's hard to access them. Very handy tool
The Swiss Champ is an excellent, all-around tool for any type of lifestyle. It's just big enough to have loads of useful tools, yet not so big as to be awkward. I carry mine whether I'm at work or on an outing with my family. I purchased a Victorinox pouch with small sharpening steel to carry my Swiss Champ in & it is so much nicer than carrying it in my pocket. I consider it an excellent value for the money that I spent. If you don’t have one, get one
I bought this one for gift for a niece. I have personally carried one every day for over 30 years. It has cut down trees, the scissors have cut through thick boot leather, and the fish scaler has been found to be a most versatile tool for many situations, including cleaning fish. The ink pen, the straight pin, the eyeglass screwdriver, all the screwdrivers, the magnifying glass, the sewing awl. Every tool on it is useful and, in my opinion, indispensable. A Swiss Army Knife - What Can You Say?
A genuine Swiss Army Knife is a thing of beauty, a useful tool, and high quality. When you can get one at a discount, what's not to love? I had always regarded the Swisschamp as just a bit too big and unwieldy, but this one has me reconsidering that opinion. For many years, I've had a Leatherman or a Swiss Army Knife, usually both, on me just about everywhere but the bed, bath, or pool. This Swisschamp has begun to grow on me. It is still a handfull, but not so big as to be difficult to use. It truly is a toolkit in your pocket. I use these mostly during my military, peace officer, and search and rescue duties, but I find that I rarely does a day go by that one or both are not out and in use. I got this more out of curiosity and a very good price, but ti is becoming more than that, a day-to-day tool. Victorinox is among the top knife manufactures in the world. I recommend this knife.
I bought my first Swiss Champ in 1995. It has served me well but the years had caused a few problems and I decided to get a new one. The new one is a bit larger than the old one and some of the features had changed. The magnifying glass is larger but that meant that the phillips screwdriver was smaller. SWISS CHAMP, WOULD NEVER BE WITHOUT ONE!
SWISS CHAMP, best pocket knife money can buy! Have them “everywhere” in fear of being without one when needed, etc. Have given many of them as gifts, they’re always highly appreciated!! Pen, tweezers, magnifying glass, scissors, pliers…..that’s what I’m talking about!!! Also, wouldn’t be without the essential companion Swiss Army Victorinox Zermatt XL Pouch w/“sharpening seel”, ( Swiss Army part number 4109918XL ) which the Swiss Champ fits into perfectly! The steel sharpener(honing only) “stays put” and never falls out. For some reason, these days they’re extremely difficult to find, and are “rare”, they cost around $20 . Included is a photo posted of my 1st Swiss Champ & Pouch which now is 41 yrs. old, use it all the time!
