Let me start by saying you WILL NOT find a better 12-String for the money than this one, period. She has a nice, even, mellow and very rich tone when playing with your fingers and she booms when strumming. It's called a 'Jumbo' body but let's call it a mini-Jumbo being only slightly larger than most dreadnaughts. I've played most all makes and models of 12-Strings in this price range ($500) and they were all junk,..except this Takamine. Plus, this was the best looking and best built of all I tried. And the electronics are more than serviceable (I rank it B or B+). In fact, the guitar plays better than instruments that cost 3 or 4x more. Compare it to the Taylor that's $1600. This Takamine blows it away. Compare it to the Martin that's $1800. This Takamine sounds better. And it plays better, mostly because of the mini-V shaped neck that's a must with 12-Strings IMO. This guitar is like that $20 bottle of wine that's better than bottles that cost $100. But don't take my word for it. Go to your local guitar store and compare for yourself. You'll quickly be sold like I was.Read full review

This guitar looks great. It looks Brand new and the pearl looks awesome. This was a gift for my son and he was blown away. Jumbo sounds beautiful. And the reconditioning job is top notch.

I've owned one for several years playing it at church & parties. Love the sound, the features, the flexibility of using it with or without an amplifier. Just wish I could have purchased it at the price offered here instead of a couple of hundred dollars more.
