I'm a guy. I blow-dry my hair after shampoo, which leaves it dry and fly-away. Then I pour a nickel sized amount of product in my hand, add warm water gradually as I rub my hands together, and create a foam that I gently use to shape my hair and then comb it. When it dries, my hair is styled, has a healthy and natural sheen, and you'd never know there's any product used. If there are untamed spots remaining, repeat using less product. You only need a little, so it goes a long way. It also works pretty well if you put the foam on wet hair and blow-style it with the product already in your hair. The first way works better for me.

I have struck gold!!! My youngest sister, who has a million hair products, happened to give me the remains of a bottle of this Foaming Pommade. Have mercy! I didn't even know I had a curl pattern even though my oldest sister insisted that I did. We'll it showed up with force when I washed, conditioned, and rinsed my hair, then applied this product. It took a very little and my hair was so foamy (I applied while my hair was very wet). I work it in with my fingers only and the more I finger pick, the curlier it got. I stop when I have achieved the look of the day. Let it air dry and you have yourself a work of art. I started using it on my son's and daughter's hair. Jackpot!!! It works wonders on theirs too. They are both wash and wear also. A treasured product I hope stays around FOREVER!Read full review

I’ve used Paul Mitchell’s foaming pomade for years. It works great mixed with Biosilk’s silk therapy treatment on my thick, long, curly hair to keep it tame & frizz free. I have the kind of hair that you can’t brush when dry or risk looking like a clown - and this keeps it ‘piecy’, in sort of a bedhead look kind of way. It works great for me.

This product is especially good when your short pixie reaches that 5-weeks and a relaxer is needed . This product mixed with Nairobi wrapping foaming is the perfect foam combo for giving a great flat mold. It really straighten out my new growth. How I used it. I put about 1-2 quarter size amount in the palm of my hands then pump my desire amount of niabori wrapping foam on top of the Paul Mitchell foaming pomade, mix the two products together in my hands then apply to hair. Repeat if you need more. I don’t normally add any more than 1-2 quarter size amount because the product looks very liquidity but it foams up a lot. A small amount goes a long way. I just add more niabori wrapping alone and the pomade continues to foam up more.
