This is fine for what it is. I bought it to measure fractions, which it does a fine job of in the Jaws. Over construction is soft plastic and not what I would call a daily tool, it is quite flimsy. The rod for measuring depth is really soft plastic. The first time used, it almost broke in half. It bends super easy. The little guard that holds the rod won't stay on, it keeps flinging off. I have another plastic caliper but it has a metal rod for depth measurement and it's lasted 20 years. The square rod on this is terribly soft.
