Kershaw Chill 3410
Budget gentleman folder, paid $15 for this one. G-10 scales, flipper and liner lock. Somewhat flimsy but fine for light duty tasks. Generic 8cr13 steel is soft but sharpens well. Flipper works well on mine, the blade is a little off center and the lock-up is not inspiring, works well though. Clip is a little small but the knife only weighs 2 oz. and it's easy to carry. The Best. My Faithful Companion
I absolutely love this knife. I have other quality knives, this is absolutely perfect for edc. I use this everyday, and never leave home without it. When fishing, hunting- it's always with me. EVERYDAY. Steel is excellent, and sharpens quickly. I first came across the 3410ST while in the grocery store in 2014. When leaving, I saw it lying on the floor, and picked it up- immediately fell in love. Destiny... I carried that knife with me everyday for a year before leaving it on the hood of my Jeep, after a long day of old Jeep maintenance... After getting home from the parts store, I realized it was lost, and my heart was broken. I searched everywhere online until I found a retailer who still sold the model- with SERRATIONS. I purchased 2. One for my wife. One for myself. This past week, after rolling around on the ground outside of the driveline shop, removing the front and rear drive shafts of the Jeep, I got home, and reached for the knife to cut open a bag of frozen green beans. IT WAS GONE. My heart sank, and this is no exaggeration. I sense of loss of my faithful companion, trusted sidekick- so sad. I immediately got online to search for another, and found it on eBay. Clicked buy now, right away. Then I found my old one in the couch cushion....OMG. I cannot stress enough, how often I use this knife. It is literally an extension of my right hand. Incredibly quick to open. Perfectly sharp for so many tasks. The serrations are amazing, and ridiculously sharp. Their scalloped shape is perfect. I thought that the 3410ST was out of production, and literally started to worry that I wouldn't be able to find one again. I now have an extra, and will be purchasing another 2 shortly. Kershaw Chill
Really a nice lightweight knife. This is not an assisted opening knife like the bulk of Kershaws are. It is a "flipper" actuated knife with a liner lock though. Very slim & lightweight, easy to carry. Really feels good in the pocket - has a clip so you can carry it in a front or rear pocket easily. All in all nice EDC knife. Kershaw Chill
For a $20 budget knife you cannot go wrong with the Chill. Lightweight and a thin profile makes for an excellent pocket carry where you will forget its even there. From experience some Kershaw Chill’s may come “off” a little. Mine came in ironically with bronze washers vs. Teflon, which my friends Chill was outfitted with. The knife itself showed no error in the mfg. process of the blade. Grind was done well and the knife was sharp out the box. Detent was dialed in great for a $20 production piece and the Chill flips hard without fail. Some buyers may need to dial in the pivot “just right” to make the knife flip as intended, but a 1 minute adjustment if you have torx bits. Excellent budget flipper with an excellent blade design (custom knife maker R.J. Martin). Definite 2 thumbs up!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
