just what the doctor ordered
My dog is terrified of the cone so I had to find a alternative. He was chewing the base of his tail raw. This did the trick, it didn't obstruct his view, he was still able to get to his food and water, moved around easy (didn't bump into everything). And he wasn't able to get to his tail. Good color, didn't work for our type of unjury.
My dog had injury on his hind (back) leg, upper part, and he was able to get to it even wearing this e-collar. Fortunately I had Large size and I had Medium size, so I tried to use Medium collar on top of a Large one and it worked... we had to double it to make it work... Comfy but useless in this case.
I'm sure it's more comfortable for the dog instead of the plastic cones. However, my dog had surgery on her hip and she was still able to reach the wound with the Kong collar. It also acts as a pillow, so she was able to sleep just fine. It was nice quality and fit her good but just didn't work for my needs. Faulty design and low quality
We replaced the plastic cone that the vet had put our beagle in. Cheaply made, simple cheap velcro strap to hold this on and dog was able to chew the strap off in 2 mins on day 1. Then we still had a secondary collar hod it on but day 2 had him easily bite and deflate the Kong. We have 4 Kong rubber toys and they are great...but Kong failed on this protective collar and they should remove their name from it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
