FOBUS Holster for my Ruger GP100 .357 Magnum
The holster is injection molded and fits my weapon like a custom made glove! At first, the force necessary to pull the revolver out of the holster was pretty high. Over time, the holster seems to "loosen" just a bit. Not so much that it becomes "sloppy," but such that I can draw my weapon fast without pulling the holster off my belt. It rides high, and with the frame of the GP100, it is easily grabbed and retrieved. Despite the lightweight feel of the holster, it is quite rugged, and has suited my needs quite well.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good holster, not for me
I like Fobus holsters, I had one for quite some time for my 1911 until I switched to Blackhawk. This holster for the GP100 is good, if you have a 4" barrel or shorter, I have a 6" and it's difficult to draw from unless you loosen the retention to the point where there is no retention, even then given the length of the barrel it's still difficult to draw from as the barrel has a tendency to bind.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

It fits, but...
This holster fits the revolver and it carries well. Ruger must have changed the GP100's cylinder size when they started making the 7 round cylinder, using the new size even for their standard 6 shot cylinder. I have a Brand New GP100 and 1 older GP100 of the same model number, BOTH are 6 shot cylinders. The new one fits snug in this holster when adjusted, it even stays in when the holster is turned upside down. The older one, making no adjustments to the holster, fits VERY loosely and will fall out of the holster when turned upside down. The holster Can Be adjusted so the older one will fit snug also, but then the newer made one won't. The difference in fit is the Cylinder size. Just something you may want to be aware of if you have an older and newer model of the Ruger GP100 and buying this holster to fit both.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Better than I expected.
This is my first Fobus. I've always used cloth, belt loop style holsters. When I first opened the package, I was skeptical about how secure it was going to be without an actual fastener system. I was pleasantly surprised when I tried it on and realised how firm it sat in my waistband. My revolver sat snug, no loose movement at all. No snap lock to fumble with, just a firm, solid click when I placed my handcannon in it. No chance of it accidentally falling out, and it needs to be deliberately removed from the holster.
