I had ventilation issues with pontoon

So nice, I bought one twice
Originally purchased on for my 16ft Jonboat w/ 40hp w/ power trim. It works so well I purchased one for my next boat, a 17DLX with a 50hp. On both boats, simply trim all the way down & go. The bow will stay low until trimmed up. Perfect for quick hole shots, pulling skiers / tubes & saving fuel. I will have one all my future boats. Very well made product, I was unable to use it due to the fact when I took old one of there was 2 sets of holes already drilled and neither matched up and didn't want to drill any more holes in the area.. this in no way was due to the Whale tail just previous owners had drilled too many holes. Installed very easily. Just have to be careful to make sure it is lined up straight otherwise it probably will affect your steering & performance. Did a before install & after install test ride with a few friends to get their observations. Tail is installed on a 19' Century open fish with a 115 hp 4 st Yamaha. It was unanimous that this add-on was well worth the small amount of money difference with the different plastic "tails". Time to get on plane showed a huge difference with the Davis "tail"; much better now...very quick. Also, a big, big change with a porpoising before & way less after install, almost as good as trim tabs being installed. Highly recommended to install this add-on with smaller boats like mine that were a little sluggish before install.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

It does exactly what it is supposed to do. I have a champion 17' bass boat with 120hp outboard. It wouldn't get on plane without standing up about 75degrees. Then it would porpoise across even when the lake was calm.
