Bought this book for my Principles of Business Management class, and it is a very easy reader. It has illustrations, examples and Appendices that are very useful and engage the reader to aid in understanding. Definitions and key facts are all displayed in the margin of chapters. This book is split into six parts: intro to businesses and changing world, starting and growing businesses and types, human resources, marketing, and financing. The chapters use recent stories and businesses for examples and all chapters have them written throughout the sections. It can be a very useful tool for anyone who wishes to start a business, and begin learning about the law and requirements, or to be used as a teaching method. While the main focus of the book is business, it touched on many aspects one would not find in normal text. For example, it reviews government,economics, and marketing, etc. Approx. 530 pages of text (including summaries, reviews, and appendices). The book was presented with a picture of the US version and a displayed description that did not give any clue that the book being sold was in fact the international version. I could have bought a brand new international version for 33% less than I paid for this used book. I purposely paid more for this book to ensure that I would get the US version.
Gives good information and is pretty concise in most places and makes sense. Very good for introductory level minded business people. I needed it for a college class but I am considering keeping it.
I have bought the book for my Introduction to Business class. It is very good and easy-to-read book.I have got the Business by Geoffrey A. Hirt, Geoffrey Hirt, Linda Ferrell, O.C. Ferrell (2008, Paperback) because it was required by my college program, and I like it very much.
