Love this - gets SO much more juice than the others!
I originally bought a Juice Fountain Elite & mistakenly read somewhere it was masticating but it wasn't; it was centrifugal (at the time I didn't realize how important it was). It left the pulp much too wet, which meant it was wasting juice (& money). A friend of mine had this Fountain Crush Masticating juicer and showed me the difference. The pulp from hers was much drier; which meant more in the glass! :) I even tried cutting up a large pineapple and juicing only the rind to see how much juice is in it (and YES this thing CAN handle juicing a pineapple rind) and we got about 20 (yes TWENTY) ounces of juice from it; THAT'S A FULL GLASS! It can get a little bit clogged where the pulp comes out if you put too much tough, dry, or thick rinds/peels in it, but it isn't difficult to get out. And although I haven't needed it, spare parts can be ordered on the breville usa website so that may come in handy. I love experimenting with different fruits, veggies, and greens to get different flavors along with the various nutrients. Each have their different pros & cons for flavors, and cleaning is super simple and fast if done right after using it; don't let it sit because it IS more difficult to clean later, even if you soak it. This is a GREAT way to get your vegetable and fruit nutrients in quickly and regularly if you're not fabulous about eating them often enough. Although it can be more expensive to buy fresh fruits and veggies regularly, it is definitely worth it to not have all the added sugars and other unnecessary additives in store-bought products. Even organic store-bought isn't as good as just making it yourself when you can use organic fruits & veggies even. In my opinion, this is probably THE BEST juicer available. I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone considering juicing. Although I spent less on the first juicer I purchased, it's definitely "you get what you pay for." I'm very glad I spent more to get the Breville BJS600XL Fountain Crush Masticating Juicer. 100% worth it. :)Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
