A rare film with real heart
The fact that this film is from a book about Che Guevara's early travels is almost beside the point, other than to show how his and his friend's motorcycle journey showed the young Che how the people of South America, especially the indigenous people, were (and still are) being exploited by the greed of unrestrained capitalism. But the overwhelming strength of this film is its portrayal of a young man's heart being opened to the force of true, unconditional compassion and the desire to serve others.
