really nice machines for their day
Right now it is 2018. JVC made the DR-MV100B units many years ago. When they were made, they had a usable life of 5-7 years. If you buy one now, you need to be aware that it likely does not have much life left in it. Remanufactured units can be found. There are many different ways in which the units can fail and troubles may be intermittent. If the unit is working properly, it has great features and recording quality. There are a lot of in/out wiring connections and should not pose a problem connecting to other equipment that you are using. The built-in digital tuner is a plus; no converter box is needed. Damaged and non working unit
When I receive JVC DR-MV100B DVD VCR Combo Recorder Player Hi Fi Stereo HDMI it did not work it was damaged. The left side front had a piece broken out and side was slightly bent. Tried to use remote nothing happened. I pushed in the power button on unit and it would not come out. It did not power up. checked the back of the unit and the power cord was bent down to about a 45 degree angle and did not go strait into back of unit.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Locks up when hot
Locks up when hot. You must unplug it to re boot it. When locked up none of the buttons or controls will work. I removed the cover, that did help some.Verified purchase: Yes
