Set in approximately 2050, Shattered Horizon is a first-person shooter that puts a twist on traditional multiplayer action by staging all of its battles in gravity-free environments near the moon. A new age of private exploration led to mining of the moon, which in turn led to a tremendous industrial accident that tore apart the International Space Station. Large fragments of the moon now orbit the Earth, preventing any rescue attempts, and forcing the thousands of International Space Agency scientists and Moon Mining Cooperative contractors to compete for dwindling resources in order to survive. Gamers can step into either side of the conflict, making use of electromagnetic pulse grenades and special rifles as they battle through four different environments. As many as 32 people can compete in multiplayer battles, and new environments will be made available for download subsequent to the game's release.
