My first eBay review in almost 20 years. This tool deserves it!
I am an avid cyclist and before I had a hard time mounting the tire, even at home. This tool makes all the difference! No more sore hands or inner tube pinched if you use the tire levers to put it back. With Kool-Stop tool, you can quickly put the tire back. ONE TIP. I cut about 3/4 of an inch off the handle. My bead jack is not so cool
I bought the Kool Stop bead jack to simplify installing Schwalbe Big Apple 2.1" tires and Schwalbe Marathon Plus 1.75" tires. Useless for both of them.... the jaw is not deep enough. Other than it not being appropriate for my intended use it's OK.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great Product
I'd been struggling with tight beads for a while, taking almost superhuman effort sometimes to get popped over the rim and scoring on braking tracks from the Park Tool steel core levers. Now my Hutchinson Fusion 5's pop on really easily. After putting the tyre on normally most of the way round you hit the last 6-8 inches of tight bead Hook the arm under bead, put the groove over the other rim wall and pull back while using your thumb to keep the remaining tyre in place. Lever the bead up and over and snaps into place on the rim perfectly, leaving no marks on the rim. Works the same on my Open Pro, Ksyrium Elite and Kinlin XR31 rims. Just wish it wasn't quite so large to take on a ride - but that's what makes it easy to work with..... Well worth the money.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Indispensable.
An invaluable tool since I put Veloflex tires on my bicycle. There is no way in the world I could have put those tires on without the Kool Stop. Since then (last year) I've fixed three flats with it for I carry it with me always when I ride. It's not heavy and not hideously awkward even given its length. It's kind of a medium pain to carry. But with the Veloflexes I don't have a choice. If I get a flat and don't have the Kool Stop, I walk home. It's that simple. I have used this with a warm/hot hair blow dryer which allows more stretch in the rubber and threads.
