Perfect optic for my HD rifle.
Another shooter here with astigmatism. The reticle is clear after dialing in the diopter. The 1x is fantastic for shooting with both eyes open. Both eyes are focusing on the same plane so it makes it super easy to superimpose the reticle on your target. On an HD rig, I’m not going to be making shots past 25 yards as I would probably not be able to legally justify it. Magnification is not a requirement for this application. The Spitfire fits perfectly on the Tavor X95 with no need for risers. You can even view the flip up sights through it but for me, the diopter setting makes the front sight post blurry. But with an etched reticle, there’s almost no need for backup irons because it works even with no power. That brings me to the only con I can think of: no quick release mounts. Realistically, this would only be necessary if the glass shattered and you needed to quickly remove your optic to deploy the irons. Not a very likely scenario. Lastly, the elevation knob can be replaced with an included BDC knob that’s calibrated for the M855 round. This knob has marking for various distances, starting at 100 yards. I intend to use it for 3 gun competitions, where I’ll be testing proficiency with my rifle (not concerned with winning).Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Only good optic for AR pistols

Good non battery needed sight
Nice sight. Appears durable. Love the fact you don't need a battery and the sight still works. Only negative is it does seem to have a little magnification and doesn't look to be a true 1x, but i have a 1.5 acog and love just a touch of magnification, but took off a star since it is advertised as a true 1x. But I would buy again for other rifles. Its on a 9mm upper now,, but the included 5.56 bdc dial would make it great sight for an ar15 rifle and better in that aspect than an aimpoint.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great scope - a little pricey compared to red dots but the image and dot are far superior.
I can't use a red dot because my contact do not correct for astigmatism. If you have astigmatism this is the scope to buy. Optics are crystal clear and the reticle whether it be green or red show up great even in bright light. Fit and finish are excellent. Slightly heavy. Absolutely love this sight. On my 12 gauge, it shows a large clear view, the rings help give scale to your target, and a sense of what your pattern will cover. A little astigmatism and nearsightedness makes red dots a disappointment. Hang on to that 12 gauge - gave me a scope bite, and i still luv this scope. IT HAS AUTO OFF in 12 hrs. Vortex spitfire AR 200 review
This is the perfect scope for my turkey shotgun. I have this on my 12 gauge turkey gun and ordered this for my 410 Turkey gun. Great reticle, when not illuminated it can be used because it is etched (when the gobbler comes in silently) and can be used easily when it is illuminated in either red or green- shooters choice. Best prism optic for people with astigmatism
This optic is perfect for anyone like myself that has an astigmatism that causes traditional red dots to flare and not look crisp. For most shooting it isn’t an issue, but when trying to make precise shots on distant targets it can definitely be an issue.
