Quality sighting in gun sled
This is a good quality leadsled model 3, I had the solo model but this one is little better and can even handle larger stocks like shotgun etc. I like u can use weights ( which I already had) instead of just lead bags . The elevation adjustment is much better than solo model as well as better recoil reduction also 👍, invest the $$ , u will save it on ammo in the long run.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Worth it but some things need changed.
The product is made of good quality products. This is unlike the Caldwell hydro sled. The only issue I have with this one is the lack of barrel retention when shooting(sighting in) and the asinine way the forward padding or u-shaped notch for barrel rests. The attachments going through it and into threaded metal pieces truthfully is a terrible idea. For the money Caldwell is getting for these things, they should be more user friendly at least better engineering on their part and should also have the things necessary to do with what 99% use them for.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great Sled
Finally got to shoot off the new lead sled and it worked great. First time purchase for me but have had the opportunity to shoot off of one at the deer lease several times and I really like the set up. I had lead that I had melted in a cast iron frying pan that I used for weight and it worked great as well. The Caldwell Lead Sled shooting rest is a very well built piece of equipment. Very good quality. Very nice finish and color coordination. Be sure to tighten the main bar that holds the back rest and the front cradle or it will loosen and move back and forth the first time you take it to the range! Once I tightened mine, it was perfect. Great but not for tactical stock
Solid metal construction. Durable rubber forward rest and butt rest is made of steel with rubber on the sides for a good grip. This is absolutely not designed for tactical stock weapons. I have to put a full folded bath towel in butt holder and then use Velcro strap on forearm. Do not leave weapon in the sled and walk away if it is tactical stock. King of Lead Sleds
This is my second Lead Sled and the quality is as good as the first one. This one I bought so I could work on my guns and clean guns on it. I still have the first one after 10 years and I still use it for shooting and keep it in my pole barn so the new one is for my gun room in house. Sled is real stable and better than the competition’s plastic junk! Bravo Caldwell!

This Lead Sled 3 is a great product! I use it with 2, 25 lb. lead, bags and the sled will let you shoot the biggest rifle rounds! Aside from a lack of labeling of hardware and slightly confusing parts diagrams I found the assembly process pretty straight forward. The right tool for sighting in a scoped rifle
