LUCKY ME
I AM SO HAPPY AND LUCKY THERE IS AN EBAY I CAN GO TO WHEN ALL ELSE FAILS. I SAY THIS BECAUSE OUR FIRST FILTRATION SYSTEM WAS INSTALLED IN 2003; IT WORKED FINE UNTIL THIS YEAR. GE TOLD ME THEY NO LONGER HAVE THIS MODEL SO MY ONLY ALTERNATIVE WAS TO PURCHASE THE NEWER MODEL. THEY GAVE ME THE NAME OF AN INSTALLER WHO TOLD ME A NEW FILTRATION SYSTEM INSTALLED WOULD START AT $400.00. FINDING THE SAME MODEL THAT I HAVE ON EBAY WAS A MIRACLE FOR ME. SO EASY TO INSTALL SINCE I ALREADY HAD MOST OF THE PLUMBING FROM THE 2003 INSTALLATION. I'M SORRY I'M NOT GIVING YOU ANSWERS YOU ASKED FOR. I HAD MY FIRST FILTRATION SYSTEM FOR 13 YEARS AND IT WORKED FINE. NEVER HAD A LEAK UNTIL THE FILTERS WERE CHANGED LAST MONTH. ONE CANASTA STARTED LEAKING AND THERE WAS NO WAY THAT LEAK WOULD STOP. USED A NEW O'RING FROM GE TOO. I THINK IF THE FILTERS WERE NOT CHANGED MY ORIGINAL FILTRATION WOULD STILL WORK FILTRATION SYSTEMS ARE PRETTY CHEAP . IT'S HIRING A PLUMBER TO INSTALL WHICH IS EXPENSIVE. THIS SYSTEM WOULD NOT BE BIG ENOUGH TO DO AN ENTIRE HOUSE IF THE WATER IS OF BAD QUALITY. THANKS EBAY.
