Savage builds an awesome rifle that is very accurate and well built. I have used this brand for several years and only have one complaint which is the magazines. The mags always need some adjustment to work properly. I will say that the mag I am reviewing is better than I expected and I received it sooner than expected. Poor manufacture/engineering/materials

HMR 93 review
These rifles are mass produced and there is only so much that can be done with fit and finish.The clips feed properly when you are very careful with the bolt and inserting the new ammo into the clip. Maybe over time the feed and clip rails will wear in and the feeding will improve. But on brand new guns, take a little extra time and care.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Works as intended and stays out of the way.
My 5 round mag. works great. I bought the 5 round instead of the 10 round due to the location of the mag. holder not extruding so low so I can use a Caldwell tac-driver without getting in the way. In addition, since ammo is at an all-time high it tends to maybe hold me back on shooting unnecessary rounds when I should be making sure my 5 rounds are placed in the exact place.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Replacing lost original one
Couldn't locate my original clip, so I purchased this one. I don't remember the high resistance while loading the oem clip. I wonder if it has something to do with it being a multiple caliper clip instead of the 17 HMR ONLY clip. Factory original Magazine in the package!!
What else would you want?! It fits my Stevens / Savage model 35M perfectly. This model was only made from 1980 - 1984, searching for that specific model online has resulted in Very few results found. Was glad to find that Savage didn’t change their .22 Mag “magazines” for a handful of models even though they changed the rifles significantly. Great factory mags!!
