We had 7 mice, we found out. Five we caught with another type of live trap, but the last two were so well fed from the dogs kibble they would not fit in the others, they have like a narrow tunnel to go through. Plus they were older mice and smarter ! ! But with the Victor's, which I had used years before with good results, they waltzed right in and went 3 miles down the road to an open field ! ! They had a hard time ignoring the pepper jack cheese ! ! The last mouse was a challenge he would actually trip the traps from the outside, I watched him do that one night, but that cheese finally got him ! ! They loved my room because I don't allow the dogs in, but I am now mouse free thanks to the Victor traps ! ! Just the cleanup left now and these little suckers went everywhere leaving droppings behind ! ! If you buy these you won't be sorry about it, they work well, depending on your bait of course ! ! Field mice belong in the field not our house ! ! !Read full review

This is more of a Suggestion for anyone buying these live traps. They are a bit small.. But they do catch mice most of the time.! As with all live traps some mice are smarter and some maybe too Big. I have had good success catching mice in my garage and releasing them in the woods outside. But back to my suggestion. With any kind of live trap. that is a small tube..It's easy for mice to suffocate from lack of O2. Trap Mfg never seem to put enough air holes in their traps. With these traps in particular the only air holes are located on the entrance door. But Mice go in head first and in some cases may not have much air to breath on the end side. Drilling some additional holes has not encouraged them to start biting an escape hole. I Drilled 3 holes on top.. 3/16" works nicely.. and a couple side holes. one on each side.. floor level about an 1/5" inch from the end. Carbon dioxide is heavier than O2 so it will flow out the low holes and bring in more O2. The other thing I noticed since these traps only have one opening. Sometimes when I try and release them.. with the mouse facing away from the entrance.. some mice prefer to stay in the trap. In this case just put the trap so the door stays propped open and let them leave on their own time. When I come back in an hour to check.. they are usually gone. That's my 2 cents on these traps. These traps are small.. work great with small mice.. Need more air holes. Good Luck.. Be Nice to Mice.!Read full review

Good, but not as good as it used to be. I've used this product for years without a problem, but when I couldn't find my traps to lend to a daughter, I bought some new ones. Unfortunately, they are not up to the original quality standard. The door failed to lock closed on two of four traps. Don't know where my original ones were made, but these new ones are made in China, which could be part of the problem. Be advised...........you may have to tinker with your traps to get them to work properly.

They're cute little things. Lightweight & super easy to set up. I've had mine about 2 weeks & so far they haven't caught any mice, but it's not because they are defective, I think the mice here have above average intelligence. I'll keep trying.

Mouse trap works, but trapped mouse is able to jump around due to light weight. Very fragile to set & trips easily. Far from the best on market device!

This is a nice-looking trap. Conceptually, it's great. However, I've had it set for a couple weeks now and haven't caught the mouse yet. I hear the mouse trip the trap, but he never gets caught inside it. I will keep trying. Having used the traditional snap-type in the past, they are far quicker than these live-type traps at eliminating a mouse problem.

It looks like it should work as a live mouse trap, but I haven't caught anything yet. Possibly, I am not using the right kind of bait. I've been using Cheetos, but need to change to peanut butter. For the little bit of plastic in two traps, I think they are overpriced.

Wanted for mice this winter. Live next to open fields. Have not had a mouse intrusion at all this winter. Did not even set them out for use. Will know more next winter.

Already caught a mouse. A couple of the traps had doors that were so loose they fell off the pinions, nor would they close securley. This is easily correctable. Gently warm up (mini blowtorch, BRIEFLY applied to inner hinge surfaces) and bend the plastic hinges inward such that they don't slip off the pinions-but not so much that door doesn't close freely. Also, don't put too much bait(peanut butter) in trap, or it will just close on its own.

Pros- Easy to use, very effective. Cons- very sensitive, meaning trap can close for almost no reason. Difficult to clean.
