I loved this book and continue to give it as gifts to friends. Jen Hatmaker is such a good writer, and reading this book is like sitting and having coffee with her. She helps you to see the excess of America in a funny yet realistic way and I love that. I literallly laughed so hard I cried during many parts of this book. She also inspires you to walk close with the Lord and view things as He did, not as we do. My only caution is to read with the awareness that it is very easy to elevate the social gospel of helping others above the true gospel which is salvation in Christ. Helping the poor and needy is of utmost importance, but not at the expense of not speaking truth and calling sin sin-so just make sure to read this with that mindset.

Jen Hatmaker is an amazing author. My husband is caught quoting her often because I have read so much of this book out loud to him. She is funny, a mom to 5 like myself, generous, Jesus loving and has SO much to say. 7 is just like something I would do, and am now doing, myself. Props to her for eating only 7 things in one month and owning up to it. She is just fabulous!!
