So I bought this for my daughter thinking it would be a girly show. As it turns out though, it's not just a little girly show, it's actually a very well written series that anyone can enjoy. Not to give too much away, but it's about a boy who is a bit of an outcast (by his own doing) who receives a case one day. Inside of the case is a doll (much like the ball-jointed Volks Dollfies) that has a winding key. He winds the doll up and she (the doll) comes to life. The series follows the two learning to work together with (and sometimes against) other dolls created by Rozen as well as the boy learning to accept things that are unpleasant to him in his life. The overall point is whichever doll defeats the others and receives their Rozen Mysticas can become a perfect girl, but they can only do this with the help of a "Medium" or human companion who they get their power from. Anyway, all in all a VERY good series and my daughter and I are looking forward to the second installment called "Traumend".Read full review
This is an amazing show. It's story is great, and the characters are cute and lovable. You really become attached to them. The show has a lot of humor, I really like that about it. It also has some mystery and drama. The show is amazing because it's serious and funny at the same time. The set is a solid product. The DVDs are well decorated along with the interior and exterior of the box. It's a must have!!!!
An extremely well done series about a boy, who is wallowing in his own self-pity, being thrust into a situation where must overcome himself as well as learn to accept those around him. It is an extremely amusing series featuring the voice actresses of Sasami and Mihoshi from Tenchi Muyo! as two of the enigmatic Rozen Maidens.
I decided to buy this series after looking at a few reviews of the show online and was pleasantly surprised by the show. it is the story of jun sakarada, a reclusive person who one day after answering a mysterious letter end up with a doll called shinku. although shinku is a special doll called a rozen maiden, these dolls can walk and talk ans as you find out later, fight. The serious has a few serious moments when dealing with why it is jun shut him self away from other and some moments when looking into the maidens past, in particularly suigintou. although other characters such as hinaichigo ans suiseiseki give lighter moments as well. all in all this is a fairly good anime though some parts of the story let it down in places but has enough action and some funny moments to more than make up for this!Read full review
