First two gears don't work
The first two gears do not work at all when the beaters are attached. Only the third gear works which is too high of a speed for mixing most items. Love this mixer!
This is my third Braun hand mixer of this model! I have loved this mixer ever since I purchased the first one many (over 25) years ago! The first two became victims of my kitchen clumsiness, I dropped them! Twice! When the first one broke, I found the second at a retailer and easily replaced it. It is my most usable kitchen tool and I can't cook without it! When I dropped the second one I was devistated! It would still run, but made some noise, so I started searching for another. The one on Amazon was out of stock. I kept searching. I had two sets of the accessories, so I really only needed the motor part. Finally I found this one on eBay! It runs so smoothly and is in perfect condition. Once again, I am a happy cook! This mixer does the job, is light weight and easy to use and easy to clean. It is versatile and has the best little chopper attachment as well as an immersive arrachment for making creamed soups. It is the perfect kitchen helper! A good deal!
I dropped my last mixer on the floor by accident and was thrilled to find a complete set for sale, so now I have 2 sets of attachments LOL. Seriously, it does a great job especially the chopper attachment which is easy to use and what I use the most. It's certainly vintage as I bought my last mixer new in 1999 and Braun, which is owned by Procter and Gamble, cannot assist if you have damage or need replacement items, so why Ebay is indeed your salvation. Works well, but the part which attaches to the body is flimsy and tends to break.
