The capsules are a little dry sounding, so it's important like most lacs, to use good placement with a little EQ. Sounded great. One note, the mic clips are not interchangeable between the ME-4 and ME-2.

I purchased the ME-4 for better control over brass and wind instruments using wireless mic systems. It is particularly effective for those situations where the brass or woodwind soloist is prone to moving around in the live stage sound field, and across the various monitor position fields. It also gives the flexibility to add dynamics and various effects to those solo instruments without overloading the signal chain due to intermittent pick-up from adjacent instrument monitors. A very tightly focused cardioid pattern allows a close mic placement relative to the instrument bell; and subsequently higher spl monitoring before feedback.
The new element was causing us problems with loud popping sounds initially, but we came to find out that it was because the belt pack transmitter's gain was set WAY too high. Adjusted that down to a reasonable level and it's working just ducky now! :-) KR

Fine product. You must realize it connects specifically to the Sennheiser products. I was able to find an adapter so it is possible to connect with other equipment .
