I bought it because I wanted to add a second hard drive to my pc, and this model is identical to the drive already on my machine. I bought the second drive because I have Windows XPee on the original drive, and I want to install Linux Ubuntu on the second drive. I can't say there is anything I don't like about the drive, expect for the learning curve. I had to learn how to install the drive, and then I had to learn how to make XPee see the second drive. It was not as transparent as I hoped.
Pretty fast for an older drive. I am very pleased with the speed and it has been running great. Low noise as well.
