A great bang for the buck. From clean,dry, and chimey. To deep, lush, vintage slapback, This little pedal has a wide range of reverb tones. I have an old amp from the sixties with no reverb or tremolo and my digital effects pedals don't sound very good with it. Base it on your needs -
This is not a massive reverb unit. It's a spring reverb pedal and it does it well. No fuss, no muss. If you're after that surf guitar sound, it's great. Also great for a touch of reverb on your sound. If you're looking for huge cathedrals, plates and shimmer, well, did you expect this from a $27 pedal? Re-evaluate your needs and look elsewhere. bang for the buck
Considering the price of this unit, this is an exceptional value, and it works just fine. However, there are so many great reverb-pedals on the market that do much more than just spring reverb as this pedal does, but the cost is much higher. This pedal is great for club-gigging, needing little space on the pedal board or just alone in an effect-loop or between guitar and amp. Superb!
I'm building a sound system for my 1969 Chevrolet el Camino. Instead of buying a fifty year old vintage automobile reverb, I decided to try one of these reverb pedals and to my surprise it plays beyond my expectations! Not only does it sound superb but I can control the sound quality.. In case your interested, I'm also using the factory 1969 Delco AM radio for a head unit, the sound quality is amazing so long as I keep the voltage down and don't over work the sensitive Germanium transisters that give the off a nice warm, tube like sound... I'm running everything through a small German amp and one 8" woofer and one 6 x 9 five way speaker. I'm going to use a small seperate amp for this reverb along with a 4 ohm 6" midrange loudspeaker that I picked up years ago. I plan on mounting it all behind my seats. This is a KEEPER!
I have a small Pedalboard case with micro/nano sized pedals from Ammoon, Rowin and Donner. Tried a joyo ironman space verb with settings for hall, plate and room. Nothing sounded anywhere as good as the digital reverb in my blackstar ht1r tube amp. Sold the joyo and bought a kokko reverb. That was pretty good, but drew 300ma and my power supply had 100ma each output, so I sold that. Then bought a Hotone verb pedal. That came close to what I wanted, but not exactly. Then this Mosky (Mooer Rebrand) pedal for $27 sounded the closest to my blackstar reverb. Now the hotone will be up for sale. This is a keeper!
