Old stock
The reeds you sent were really old stock . Vandoren started individually wrapping reeds in a box of five many years ago . These were not individually wrapped . They were so old they had a dusty coating on them . One was very discolored . They were so bad , I put them in a water and alcohol solution fearing for my health . I know you are lucky to find two good reeds out of five , but all of them were dead sounding . You might want to mention on your sight , that these reeds are not new stock .
