I purchased this interface to use with an iPad and multiple kappa as the start of an iPad/iapp/soft synth based keyboard rig for live performance. At minimum, the iPad connection was supposed to "trickle charge" the unit it was connected to, keeping it from running down during a performance. I tried multiple AC adapters with more robust specs, no luck. eventually was told no, it doesn't send any power down the line whatsoever. The comments and notes are still there around the web and from many sellers (not the one I bought this from, who only had minimal info) for the price, it does (Almost) everything I needed just fine. It has since been replaced with two interfaces that do exactly what I needed - putting this in t he "likely getting resold, or given to a friend who can use it" pile. I have two of the correctly working (for my use case) iPad interfaces and two thunderbolt interfaces for use with my MacBooks to get audio to the front of house. if you need an inexpensive interface, does midi, can use s standard lightning to USB cable, give this a shot. I just can't afford to risk an iPad losing juice at the end of a five hour set.Read full review

I’ve had mine for about 3 years now. It has done its job impeccably and has helped me immensely. I got mine in a studio one 4 bundle with e4.5s, an M7, and I had already owned the software - which isn’t as hard to use as some have made it out to be. I mean I started on GB iOS. SO4 is a solid DAW. The only problem I’ve had with this a/I has been within the last few months when I’ve been pushing my mastering and mixes dB further than I would originally. So if I put it on playback mode it was blow the sound card and I have to restart the interface - which isn’t hard… just a pain in the ass. Especially if you’re grooving through a tune and bam … it blows. You kinda lose some hype. However - it’s a 3 year old piece of equipment that I got for less than 150 dollars in a brand new bundle. I also ran it daily for the first two without shutting my computer off and killed my speakers recently as well. So remember this stuff is electronic and components have a time frame for their lifetime. I think we tend to forget these things. I’ve never used it for iOS. I’d say it’s a solid starter interface, but when you can I’d move on to another bigger and better unit. I love presonus though. Replaced my e4.5s with the R65 series. Read full review

I love this interface. It was a little challenging trying to figure out how to get it to work with my mixer at first but once I figured it out, it was all good from that point on. Really great buy!
