The newer version is not as durable as the earlier model. At some point they cut cost on the coating etc. Lynn sold out to a big corporate.
All cold steel items have been price chopped for corporate down to the coating. Even the srk coat comes off five times faster than the original. If they cut cost there they did it in other areas as well. Shadow is not any different just cheaper made. Corporate will lie just like politicians to gain your money. The knife is unusable with the exception of throwing for fun or real self defense which will never happen.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
