Nice socks, but I was hoping they were like the other goldtoes over the calf socks I have, as far as the material is concerned. These are more of a "dress sock" while the others I have bought are thicker/heavier material (cotton) and I will be looking to get more of them going forward.

Excellent socks - comfortable - versatile
These socks give some measure of calf support. They are NOT compression socks by any means, but they help keep the blood flowing. They feel good. They come up to just below the knee. So you never get the skin peeking over the socks when legs are crossed. In all, "gold toes" are one of the best deals going for a good solid men's sock.
