Introducing the new DB24 Stereo Direct Interface. This unit is a two channel isolation device designed to connect high impedance devices to low impedance. A variety of inputs are provided including stereo and mono 1/4", stereo RCA, and stereo 1/8" (3.5mm).
I use the Rolls DB24 to send the unbalanced signal from my Macbook Pro to my Aric Audio fully balanced tube preamp, and then to the balanced inputs of my NAD 218 THX amplifier. Beautiful tube warmth with 780 watts of available peak power, with balanced signal noise rejection. Awesome!
The unit is very solidly built and performs flawlessly. Three modes of input is an excellent feature. I have used the 3.5mm jack, dual 1/4 inch TS and RCA. RCA seems to be the best for my application. I find the level adjustments very convenient as well. I can attenuate the signal going to the preamp if the wife is sleeping
