If you want to finally have enough video ports for your home theater components, an HDMI switch by Belkin can help to give you what you need. The Belkin Pro 1000 4-way HDMI switch with wireless remote lets you connect four devices with just a single connection, which means there is just one output cable running to your HDTV or receiver from your devices. This is an ideal solution when your TV has limited inputs or you just have a lot of A/V accessories in your home theater setup. It works with Blu-ray players, media boxes, game consoles, and many other pieces of electronic equipment. This product includes a DC input jack and an external power adapter. This adapter plugs into the 5-volt port on the Belkin switch and then into a wall outlet. Although power to components is provided via the HDMI interface, this unit must remain plugged in so that it can perform switching functions and respond to remote signals. A remote control is provided, and the battery comes preinstalled. This remote allows you to switch easily between HDMI sources. A battery door slides away to reveal a compartment when replacement is necessary. This device supports 1080p high-definition video streams and can deliver sub-HD content as well. Only one cable needs to run from the switch to the television, receiver, or other component. All connected items can be active, but only the selected one will pass through to the destination. This unit supports the HDMI 2.0 standard and is backwards-compatible with earlier versions. The default signal used by your setup can be selected manually or via an intelligent switching mechanism. This function selects whichever signal is active. If multiple signals are active, then it’ll be set to the previously selected signal. This unit has one front-facing HDMI input. This is particularly handy if you need one connection you can frequently change. The unit also has three back-facing inputs. The lone HDMI output, which connects your switch to your TV or receiver, is rear-mounted. All inputs have their own dedicated LED indicators, which provides a visual representation of the active signal. The wireless handheld remote control has a black-colored back case and a gray-colored front face. The four buttons are labeled 1, 2, 3, and 4. Button 1, which accesses the primary signal, sits alone at the top of the unit. Below it is a row that contains buttons for the other three signals. Whether you want to play video games or watch a Blu-ray film, you can change the display instantly with this device. There’s no need to fight with a rat’s nest of home theater cables and wires anymore. Expand your connection options, and change between video inputs without ever getting up off the couch. No 5 volt adapter included
Okay so this is a great product, when it works properly. Unfortunately, it won’t work properly out of box because it doesnt come with the necessary adapter to power it. Instead, the hub relies on receiving power from the incoming hdmi cables. Not good.
This switch does kind of work. It relies on power over hdmi to work but if you have some low power devices plugged into it it will not work when some of them are off. It does have a port for power from an outlet but does not come with a power cord. The automatic switching mostly works but is buggy. It comes with a remote and ir sensor that you can plug in but the range is like 3 feet... If I was within three feet, I'd just press the button on the device to switch output devices, completely defeats the purpose of the remote.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Not what they promised
Easy to connect, but does not include power supply. I paid more because I wanted a self-switching unit so I wouldn't have to add another remote to the pile on my end table.
