Good soundbar for the bedroom...
I am a bit hard of hearing, and the speakers on my tv are not that good as far as a full sounding speaker should sound, so it is very hard for me to hear. I connected this Samsung soundbar up to my tv with the optical link cable and have had no problems at all. Only thing I do not like is, I now have 2 remotes. I have not figured out how to use the tv remote to turn up and down the soundbar. Only minus I can think of. Sound for my large bedroom is excellent.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

Would not work with Toshiba LCD
Tried connecting the soundbar to my Toshiba LCD TV through the optical cable and the mini jack and neither connection would produce sound, regardless of whether the input was the antenna, roku or HTPC. Not sure if this is an issue relating to Dolby processing.... It did produce sound when connected to my phone via Bluetooth but the the quality was lacking. Purchased to improve the volume of speech when watching movies, huge disappointment. Went back to using Klipsch computer speakers.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Read all reviews prior to purchasing it. Very easy set up but as indicated, now have an additional remote to fiddle with to adjust the volume. Although, other than that the sound is much more advanced and improved, perfect for my bedroom. Doesn't give you that great bass thump but adequate. Great soundbar for the money!
The sound bar is a great option if you are not looking for a full cinema experience. The integrated subwoofers give them a little boost but don’t expect the same experience as actual sound bars with subwoofer. It is a great buy for my bedroom, the sound quality is good and the automatic detection from my Samsung TV makes it really smooth to handle. Very good quality for the price. Wanted a soundboard without a separate woofer or speakers and this one fit the bill. The size is good (not too large) and mounts easily on the wall over the TV. The downside is that the remote is needed to adjust the the volume, I would prefer to have to use only one remote for all functions. If you buy this well-designed product, read the manual carefully before installing it. This soundbar delivers excellent sound, especially in comparison with the terrible sound of a flat-screen TV. You can customize its use with your flat-screen TV, but it's a complex business. It took me a long time to get it right--my fault, not implying anything wrong with, or bad about, the soundbar or the instructions for using it. When I finally got it properly set up, it was a delight to use. good sound enhancement
The unit enhances the tvs sound and directs the sound from the tvs front and opposed to the tvs rear facing speakers. The only draw-back was the lack of a good heavy bass sound that is missing due to not having a separate bass speaker. Great for a small room.
This speaker makes a flawless team with Samsung TV and DVD player. The sound is terrific in a 14x16 room. I do not use it for music and audiophils may consider it second rate.
