    Breaker lock out

I don’t actually lock it. I use it on a main breaker to change out sub panels. Other guys are doing the same thing in places where the breakers are not labeled properly. So if someone is flipping through trying to find the one they are looking for, they can see this red lock on the one I’m working on and avoid it.

Well made, but some others are more widely applicable.

The 491B (and 493B) work well for breakers whose handles pivot (i.e. most of them), and the mostly-metal construction seems unlikely to break or wear out prematurely. However, these lockouts do not work well for breakers (such as Wadsworth) which slide between the OFF and ON positions. ABUS lockouts work much better on sliding breakers, but (being plastic) are not as rugged. If I could have only one of these two manufacturers' lockouts, I'd choose ABUS due to the broader applicability.
