A very good amp, I think. Beautiful, simple to set up, and a great clarity of sound in all seven channels. It compares very well to the Sunfire Theater Grand 7400 that it replaced, even though it hasn't near the 400W / channel power of the Sunfire. the 7400 was about 15 years old and 'Super Novaed' one night during some heavy lifting that got it too hot ..........or something. Anyway, the Marantz MM8077 joins two other Sunfire Receivers in a 22 channel system, and carries its own weight in the system with plenty of power and great sound to spare. And it's got a great blue light on the beautiful front panel!

very cheap made in Vietnam piece of garbage. for the money you spend on a marantz you can get a old school adcom gfa7807 300 watts per channel and that's underrated. adcom can power any speaker with ease. sounds way better than marantz and has cooling fans.
