Great beginner fly rod set
I have been fly fishing for 6.5 years and learned on one of these. The reel will wear out quick so I suggest finding a vintage Martin 63 reel here on eBay for around 20 bucks but the line is pretty good that comes with it and the rod is great for the price you can’t beat this darn thing if you want a good cheap rod to learn with this is it people!!!! A great rod & reel combo for any beginner! The fact that all the tippet, fly line, & backing are already spooled was a pleasant surprise. Literally tie on a fly (some provided) and you’re fishing! The reel is of poor quality & does not “stop” like most other reels. But if you’re considering this product you’re probably a beginner (or on a budget) & not expecting a professional level product anyway.
