so far, I like this weather station. it has great features, it is expandable, you can get crazy with all the add-ons available. mounting was easy, I used 1-5" electrical tubing, some concrete for the base the mounting hardware is included. display is big, easy to read, and navigate. I do not know about longevity however, it is only a month old. that being said, I do not expect any problems with the station, I am pleased with the purchase.

they would do something about the quality of parts. The temperature and humidity sensor needs replacing every other year or so. Bought this unit knowing that because I need other parts for my existing system. Davis is aware of this issue (well understood in the community) and they have no intention of making good on it. Pissed of about this - can you tell?

This is my second Davis weather station, so I believe in the overall quality and ease of use of their products. This unit was easily assembled and works as advertised. If I had to point out a flaw, it would be the operating manual, which could benefit from some editing and customer feedback in the areas of FAQs, common installation questions and the lack of an overall index. The different modes of operation are a little less than intuitive, but easy to negotiate once you get the hang of it.

Since I'm a big WX buff, I decided to take the plunge and purchase the PRO 2 after looking at all the other WX stations available...w/o a doubt, the money was well spent. I am a radio amateur and listen to the New England WX Net in the mornings and decided to finally join in the group. The Davis gives me all the information I need. I mounted the anemometer on the 55' tower in the back and installed the rain bucket on the side deck of the house. Since the anemometer is now physically separated from the rain module, I purchased a remote TX module to power the anemometer...works great even tho the tower is situated 100 feet from the house and my equipment is located in the basement. Next year (2016) I plan on purchasing the Davis software so I can keep records on a local computer. This is a great deal and money well spent. CONS: ? None and probably won't be any ! ! !Read full review

Had 2 previous cheaper weather stations and both quit working in a year or two. This Davis weather station is definitely better quality and actually just as easy set up. I get the feeling that it will last years after seeing how well it is made. Also the reading have been more acurite then my previous weather stations. It's been down to 22 below outside and it worked fine.
