Can't stand the poor reading light CFLs provide; stores can't sell the old-fashioned incandescent anymore. Was very happy to find these: name brand, very well packaged, quickly shipped and attractively priced. Perfect!

We were wondering where we could purchase some really good lighting ....tired of the new low lights which don't really provide brightness when needed! I'm all about saving the earth and global warming caution...yet.....For seniors we should be allowed at least 1 or 2 bright bulbs!!!

These use two filaments and require a three-way socket that that turns on one filament then the other then both to achieve three levels of light. I ordered four. Unfortunately both filaments only worked in one bulb initially. Now only one works in that bulb. There are now three way LED bulbs. Buy those instead.

I like the GE brand. I also like the fact that these are 3 way bulbs so you can have the right lighting for what you need at any given time from 50-1---150 watt :)
